The rising trends in ordering food online on apps such as Swiggy, Food Panda etc have revolutinised the way food is eaten in India. From the time when women of indian household used to cook at home, the obesity and life style disorders such as obesity, hypertension and diabetes were much less. These days, fast food fans today are ordering off menus that have grown more apt to make them fat.

A new study has found that portion size has increased significantly at the most US based restaurents as reported by Megan McCrory, a research associate professor with the Boston University College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. Not only portion size, sodium content and calorie intake has also been increased. Thus exposing general public for hypertension and diabetes risks. The new study was published in the March issue of the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

MPX and Mediplex Obesity Experts "We understand that the ordering fast food on apps is a cost effective and fast way to get food that tastes good leaving back hassles of cooking and purchasing," MPX team said. "But we need to understand the implications of doing it too often creating health issues and affecting your fitness goals as well. Therefore it is advisable to eat fast food less often, make it more of a special occasion instead of something that's done regularly."
