A new research shows that exercising regularly can increase your life span to significant level. Even the people following sedentary life styles in their youth, starting on their fitness journey later in life can also cut down their odds for death to great extent as reported by a major study published in JAMA journal recently. .

This major study tracked health of over 315000 people for their exercise patterns and found that people who exercised all their lives had a 36 percent lower risk of dying during the study period, compared to people who'd never exercised.

The surprising and most important results suggests that people who'd been inactive in youth but decided to get more physical in their 40s and 50s saw almost the same decline -- 35 percent -- in their odds for an early death.

MPX fitness team and Mediplex Expert Doctors suggest that “Inactive adults may be encouraged to be more active, whereas young adults who are already active may strive to maintain their activity level as they get older," the research conducted by Mediplex Clinical Team with several hundred patients conducted in the past 10 years.

"This study, once again, portrays the importance of physical activity in relationship to one's long-term mortality," said cardiologist Dr. Evelina Grayver of North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y., who wasn't involved in the new research. Dr. Sunny Intwala (US based Sports Cardiology expert says), “you don't have to start running marathons at 55 to reap the benefit of exercise but I recommend that People should move more, sit less and squeeze in at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise weekly.” .
